A straight grained stave of American white ash, made right here in Maine! Ash has historically been the favored choice for long handles due to its exceptional strength to weight ratio, keeping the handle stiff and strong without becoming excessively heavy and tiring in use.

72" in length and 1-1/4" in diameter, with 16" of length at one end left as a rough-sawn 1-1/2" square for tool mounting, these poles are excellent for any projects involving mounting a tanged or socketed tool head, such as shovels, forks, slashers, and more.
